I hear ads on the radio for fixing the jaw with a fancy mouthpiece based on a CT scan and blah, blah, blah. On occasion these braces are valuable. Why? Well the jaw is a very malleable joint. That means if it has been off for a long time the joint deforms and a slow process to correct it could help.

Last week I had a husband and wife as new patients. She was in pretty good shape except she had jaw pain. One day all of a sudden she got intense jaw pain. She went to a medical doctor who gave her a cortisone shot and recommended Tylenol. This helped a little but she still had significant pain. I checked her out and adjusted her lower jaw bone from right to left. There was a noticeable audible sound and a moment of shock and then she felt good in the jaw for the first time. In the past week I have done 3 or 4 jaw adjustments. Two were minor and then there was another big adjustment in the jaw and the person was much more talkative. Just kidding it did not change her willingness to talk.

There are various special adjustments to the feet, ankles, knees and the upper extremities as well that can really improve how one feels and functions. There are other special adjustments such as directly unlocking parts of the nervous system that can make improvements on how the body feels and functions. Here’s to your health. Treat yourself or a friend to a holiday visit to see me so your holiday is more enjoyable.
