GETTING OFF TWO ANTI-DEPRESSANT DRUGS

Recently a 30 year old patient came to see me. He wanted to get off prescription meds and lower his blood pressure. He also wanted better mental health and more energy. This patient was young and slender and his blood pressure was 160/110 when he came in. That is unusually high. He was taking 3 antidepressant drugs by prescription. He got a full spine and hip adjustment which he needed and he got 4 supplements.

I suggested he go online and check out the side effects of these drugs and see if any had the side effect of high blood pressure. He came back to see me 6 weeks later, and his blood pressure was 130/90 which is much improved. He was unhappy that his doctors had not told him about the high blood pressure side effect of 2 of the drugs. He got off these 2 and the other he cut back by 85% as it helped him with mental focus. He got another adjustment and I gave him 4 new supplements to ease stress and help with mental focus. He stayed on 3 of the 4 earlier supplements but his dose was slightly lower. His energy was still low and he was eating better. He will be back in a couple weeks and we will see how he is doing.

Sincerely,
