Dizziness/Vertigo/Disoriented

I had a patient today aged 73 with ear complaints, vertigo, and other complaints. She was wary about getting adjusted as she has osteoporosis. For starters she got a very gentle adjustment with hip blocks, the flexion distraction table and the activator adjusting tool on her upper neck. I had last seen her 5 years ago when her husband brought her in the same as today.

A person with dizziness has more than one possible diagnosis situation. One of the most common findings is that the atlas bone at the top of the neck and what the head sits on is shifted a bit to the right or left irritating nerves that have to do with sensation on the back and top of the head and indirectly nerves related to hearing and sight as common findings. The patient wondered how this atlas shift could happen. The obvious conclusion would be that she had fallen coming down the stairs where she twisted her ankle and broke the lower leg bones of the left side in three places since I had last seen her. There is a lot of force entered into the musculoskeletal system in abnormal ways all at once  and this could certainly throw the neck off.

On checking, one of her legs was a half inch shorter. This is caused by the twisting of the pelvic bones and low back bones. The upper neck is always off in such a twisted hip scenario. We corrected this twisting. There is a reflex that got shut off that has to do with detoxification of the eyes, ears, and upper trapezius muscle through the internal detoxification system of the body called the lymphatic system. There are numerous of these reflexes that are specific for different organs and muscles. This reflex was down on her so we turned it back on not unlike switching a circuit breaker back on. Lymphatic drainage improves about 20 percent locally as a result.

Next we found her heart needing a bit of relaxing and also the arteries needed to relax a bit more allowing for more blood flow to places such as the head and ears. This took a couple of supplements. One of these supplements is also good for your “type A” personality type or as we call it a sympathetic dominant nervous system situation. Finally she has recently been experiencing a bit of ringing in the ear/tinnitus. One cause of ringing in the ear is calcium deposits in the inner ear. We gave her a supplement that dissolves calcium deposits in the tissues of the body. It is hard to get to these particles in the inner ear with the supplement but it does improve circulation in general which is probably associated with the vertigo symptom.

So there we have it. Four or five different diagnoses found and addressed in a visit. In the world of holistic health I find that there are several or numerous small conditions each of which can be found and addressed and the overall health and happiness of the person then increases. Give us a call and come in for a visit.

Sincerely,
